# Things you didn't know CalTrak could do

CalTrak has a bunch of small features that are easy to miss. These are the 15 I'd show a friend first.

## 1. See which foods made up your macros

Tap the carbs, protein or fat bar on the Log tab and you get a Macro Breakdown. It lists each food and how much of that macro it gave you, so you can see exactly where your protein came from today.

  Tap a macro bar.

## 2. Undo a delete

Deleted something by accident? An "Undo delete" button shows up for 5 seconds. Tap it and the entry comes right back.

Undo shows up for 5 seconds.

## 3. Share your log with an AI assistant or a coach

"Share Log" at the top of the Profile tab exports your log for Today, Yesterday, the last 7 or 30 days, All Time, or a custom range.

Pick readable text (.md) or a spreadsheet (.csv), then "Share or Save", or use "Copy as Text" to paste it straight into ChatGPT or a message to your coach.

Share Log on the Profile tab.

## 4. Your streak survives a missed day

You earn a streak freeze for every 14 days in a row you log, and you can hold up to 2. If you miss exactly one day, CalTrak uses a freeze automatically and tells you "Streak saved!"

  One missed day is okay.

## 5. Fix an AI result in plain words

Every AI lookup gets one "Tweak Results". Type a change like "no cheese and half the rice", up to 500 characters, and CalTrak redoes the estimate with that in mind.

  One tweak per result.

## 6. It remembers your usual portion

CalTrak remembers the last portion you used for each food, so a medium banana or your usual scoop of oats is already picked the next time.

Your last portion is ready to go.

## 7. Fix a food once, and it stays fixed

If a barcode or search result has the wrong numbers, use "Change Macros or Name". Your correction is saved and used for future scans and searches of that food.

## 8. Tap the calorie ring for your whole day

Tapping the calorie ring opens a Daily Review receipt with every meal on it. More on the [meal receipts page](https://caltrak.app/features/meal-receipts).

## 9. Switch meals while you're adding food

Adding to the wrong meal? The "Add to" title at the top of the Add screen is a menu. Tap it to switch meals without starting over.

## 10. Plan meals ahead

Long-press a meal header to "Mark Meal as Planned", then "Mark Planned as Eaten" once you've had it. "Copy From Yesterday" brings over yesterday's meal in one tap.

## 11. Golf Mode

Apple Watch tends to overestimate golf. When you log golf, choose Cart or Walked and CalTrak adjusts it. See [Apple Watch and exercise](https://caltrak.app/features/apple-watch-and-exercise).

## 12. Coffee counts toward water

Every drink counts by its water value. Coffee counts as 98% water-equivalent. More on [water tracking](https://caltrak.app/features/water-tracking).

## 13. Track the nutrients you care about

In the Profile tab you can turn on Track Saturated Fat, Track Fiber and Track Net Carbs, and choose whether exercise adds to your budget and macros.

  Toggles in the Profile tab.

## 14. A calendar of every day you logged

The History tab has a calendar with a check for every logged day and your weekly totals, plus 7, 30 and 90 day trends for calories, water, macros, activity, top foods and weight.

  Your logging calendar.

## 15. Back up everything to one file

"Export Data" in Backup & Restore saves your whole history as one JSON file, and "Import Data" brings it back on a new phone. If Apple Health ever gets out of sync, the Apple Health "Repair" button removes what CalTrak wrote and adds the last 30 days back.

## What works offline?

Logging, history, export, backup and widgets all work without internet. Search, barcode lookups, AI, meal links and feedback need a connection.
